To think of you is lovelier than any dream. To know you is more wondrous than all the world's travels. To love you is the most beautiful sorrow I have ever known.

Hands Full of Stars

Tomorrow, once more, I will mask my tremors behind a radiant smile, erasing every trace of this sleepless night. Out of a wondrous, hopeless dream, my white agony bloomed. When you leave, the swans that nested in your gaze will wake to the cold— and wither, soft and warm, one by one. You will never know that I held for you hands full of stars.

Do not fear, queen of passion, you cannot hurt me! I am like a stone at the bottom of the river: you see me, but you do not know how great I am. I did not ask for your love, and I have it not. I did not ask for your hate. Why then do I have it?
